Ian LevittThe Shery Levitt Educational Foundation is only in its fifth year, and because of your incredible outreach and support, I am delighted to say that not only are we still around, but we are growing faster than anyone could have ever imagined. In only four years the foundation's supporters have more than quadrupled, our sponsor's have increased, the foundation's board has increased and more children who have suffered tragedy in their lives are receiving stellar education and hope.

My mom's passing was perhaps the hardest pain I've ever had to endure. But my mom was a positive, loving doer, and in her honor I could not let that pain overcome me. I took the love and support of my wife, children, family and friends and turned her memory into this foundation that will help ease the pain of any child who suffers a like tragedy by offering them a chance at an education in a Shery Levitt School, and therefore offering them a brighter future.

In addition we have added Cancer Research to our overall mission and I am delighted to say we have chosen to team up with The Concern Foundation, one of Los Angeles's best-known and most beloved charities dedicated to raising and granting funds to support cancer research worldwide. With everyone's donations we will begin to work with Concern's scientific review committee to fund a cancer researcher for many years to come.

The Shery Levitt Educational and Cancer Research Foundation, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, extends educational opportunities to worthy young students whose continuance in independent education is in jeopardy as a result of unforeseen, adverse circumstances in their personal lives.

Through scholarship assistance, the Foundation helps those students whose lives have taken a tragic turn and who need financial assistance to stay in school. Shery worked in the school communities and established special bonds with certain schools, and it is these schools and their students that will benefit from the Foundation’s grant program.
